Is my text saved automatically?
Yes. Your notes are automatically saved to your browser's local storage every time you stop typing for 300 milliseconds. Your text persists even if you close the tab or restart your browser. However, clearing your browser data will remove saved notes — use the Download button to keep a permanent copy.
Do I need to create an account or log in?
No. This notepad works instantly without any registration, login, or email. Just open the page and start typing. Your notes are stored locally in your browser, so no account is needed.
Can I download my notes?
Yes. Click the "Download .txt" button to save your current note as a plain text file to your device. You can also use the "Copy All" button to copy your entire note to the clipboard for pasting into other applications.
How many notes can I create?
You can create up to 20 separate notes using the tab system. Each note has its own title and content. Click the "+" button to add a new note, and click on any tab to switch between notes.
Is my text private and secure?
Yes. This notepad is 100% client-side — your text never leaves your browser. Nothing is sent to any server, and no data is stored remotely. Your notes exist only in your browser's local storage on your device.
What do the reading time and speaking time stats mean?
Reading time estimates how long it would take an average adult to read your text silently (based on 238 words per minute). Speaking time estimates how long it would take to read your text aloud (based on 150 words per minute). These are useful for preparing presentations, speeches, or estimating article length.
Can I use this notepad on my phone?
Yes. The notepad is fully responsive and works on all devices including smartphones and tablets. The editor adapts to your screen size automatically.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
Clearing your browser data (cookies and local storage) will delete your saved notes. To prevent data loss, use the "Download .txt" button to save important notes to your device before clearing browser data.
