How do I check my Facebook privacy settings?
Go to Facebook Settings > Privacy. Our tool guides you through the most important settings: profile visibility (friends only), face recognition (disable), location history (clear), off-Facebook activity (clear), and app permissions (review). Each setting includes a direct link to that exact page.
How do I make my Google account more private?
Visit myaccount.google.com and pause Web & App Activity, Location History, and YouTube History. Disable ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. Review which apps have access to your Google data. Enable 2-Step Verification for security. Our checklist covers all essential Google privacy settings.
Is my Instagram account private?
Check Settings > Privacy > Account Privacy. When enabled, only approved followers can see your posts and stories. Also hide Activity Status so others cannot see when you were last active. Enable two-factor authentication and review tagged photos settings.
How can I protect my privacy on TikTok?
Switch to a private account so only approved followers see your content. Disable personalized ads in Settings > Privacy. Limit who can duet or stitch your videos to Friends or No one. Enable two-factor authentication for account security.
What is a good privacy score?
A privacy score of 80-100 is excellent - you have completed most critical privacy settings. 60-79 is good but has room for improvement. Below 60 means important privacy settings need attention. Focus on red (critical) items first, then yellow (important), then green (recommended).
How do I turn off Facebook face recognition?
Go to Facebook Settings > Face Recognition Settings and toggle it off. This prevents Facebook from automatically recognizing your face in photos and videos. Our tool includes a direct link to this setting.
How do I stop Google from tracking my location?
Visit myactivity.google.com/activitycontrols/location and pause Location History. You can also delete existing location data. This stops Google Maps timeline and location-based features from recording your movements.
Is this privacy tool safe to use?
Yes, 100% safe. This tool runs entirely in your browser - your data never leaves your device. We do not store any personal information. We simply provide a checklist with links to official platform settings pages.
Does this tool access my social media accounts?
No. This is an informational checklist only. We never ask for your passwords or login credentials. You click links that open the official platform settings pages where you make changes yourself.
How often should I check my privacy settings?
Review your privacy settings every 3-6 months. Platforms frequently update their privacy options and may reset some settings. Save your progress in our tool and return periodically to verify your settings are still configured correctly.
100% client-side tool. Your checklist progress is saved only in your browser. We never access your accounts or store any personal data.
