What image size do I need for Instagram?
Instagram Story: 1080x1920. Square post: 1080x1080. Portrait post: 1080x1350. Landscape: 1080x566. Instagram compresses images, so upload at these exact dimensions for best quality.
What is the best YouTube thumbnail size?
1280x720 pixels at 16:9 aspect ratio. This is YouTube's recommended size. Thumbnails should be under 2MB and in JPG, PNG, or GIF format.
What size is a Facebook cover photo?
Desktop: 820x312 pixels. Mobile displays differently, so keep important content in the center 640x360 area. Upload at 820x312 minimum.
What size should TikTok videos and covers be?
TikTok uses 1080x1920 (9:16 aspect ratio) for full-screen vertical video. Covers and thumbnails should match this dimension for consistency.
What is the LinkedIn post image size?
1200x627 pixels for link posts and shared content. LinkedIn banner images are 1584x396 pixels. Company pages may have different requirements.
What size is a Twitter/X post image?
1600x900 pixels (16:9) for optimal display in the timeline. Twitter header images are 1500x500 pixels. Images are compressed during upload.
Why does my image look cropped on social media?
Social platforms use fixed aspect ratios. If your image does not match (e.g., square image on a 16:9 platform), it gets cropped. Resize to the exact dimensions before uploading.
How do I resize for multiple social platforms at once?
Export the same image in different sizes: create one high-resolution original, then resize to each platform's requirements. Keep subjects centered for different crop areas.
