How do I split an image for Instagram grid?
Upload your image and select the 3x3 preset. This creates 9 tiles that form a complete picture on your Instagram profile when posted in order.
How do I create an Instagram carousel from one image?
Use the 3x1 preset for horizontal carousels or 1x3 for vertical. Each tile becomes one swipeable slide in your carousel post.
What order should I post grid tiles to Instagram?
Post tiles from bottom-right to top-left (tile 9, 8, 7... 1). The tiles are numbered to make this easy. Check profile preview before posting.
What size should my image be before splitting?
For Instagram grid, use 3240x3240 pixels (1080x1080 per tile). For carousels, use 3240x1080 (horizontal) or 1080x3240 (vertical).
Can I split an image into custom grid sizes?
Yes. Beyond Instagram presets, you can choose custom rows and columns up to 6x6 for puzzles, posters, or other uses.
How do I download all the split tiles?
Click Download All for a ZIP file containing all tiles numbered in order. Individual tiles can also be downloaded separately.
What file format is best for Instagram grid tiles?
JPG at 90%+ quality for photos, PNG for graphics with sharp edges. Instagram compresses uploads, so start with high quality.
Can I split a panorama into multiple posts?
Yes. Use a 3x1 or 4x1 split for panoramas. Each segment becomes a carousel slide that viewers swipe through.
