How do I create a location QR code?
Enter latitude and longitude coordinates. Or click Get My Location to auto-fill current position. Scanning opens Google Maps at that location.
How precise should GPS coordinates be?
4-6 decimal places is plenty accurate for most uses (within meters). More decimals increase precision but are rarely needed.
Will the QR open Google Maps or Apple Maps?
It depends on the device. Android usually opens Google Maps. iPhone opens Apple Maps. Users choose their default maps app.
Can I use a street address instead of coordinates?
Not directly. Convert your address to coordinates first using Google Maps, or use a URL QR with a direct maps link.
Is my location data stored anywhere?
No. Generated 100% locally in your browser. Your coordinates never leave your device.
How do I find latitude and longitude for a location?
Right-click any location in Google Maps and click the coordinates. Or use the Get My Location button for your current position.
Can I use this for event locations?
Yes. Perfect for wedding invitations, event posters, and business cards. Guests scan to get directions instantly.
Will the QR work offline?
The QR itself works offline. But the maps app needs internet to show the location and get directions.
Your data never leaves your device. QR codes are generated locally in your browser.
